1 Review on “Barrington Living History Farm”

The Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site includes Barrington Farm and Independence Hall. The Hall is a beautiful reconstruction of the original Hall in which the Texas Declaration of Independence was drafted and signed in March of 1836. The Hall is within the original boundary of the town of Washington, Tx. The Barrington Farm is only a few hundred yards from the Hall. I volunteer as WOB as a Historical Interpreter and I find the site to be absolutely beautiful and the Staff and Volunteers to be the best. The site also includes the Star of Texas Museum which houses scores of items from the birth of Texas. The WOB complex is a jewel in the crown of Texas State Parks and should be a place for every Texan (and Texas Resident) to visit. The park hosts a HUGE celebration every year for Texas Independence Day with hundreds of re-enactors and vendors. Christmas in the park is a beautiful representation of Christmas Past. You owe it to yourself to visit with your family and enjoy the rich history of Texas.
