  • The Twisted Knot Company of Pike and Shot portrays soldiers of 16th and 17th centuries. As our name suggests, we use matchlock musketeers and armored pikemen to demonstrate the “pike and shot” military tactics that would have been used during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and on through the English Civil Wars.

In addition to demonstrating battle conditions, the Company also explores the soldiers’ camp life. Cooking period foods, playing music, and playing game are some of the activities we take part in when not drilling (or cleaning muskets….or cleaning armor….sigh…).
